I have owned horses my entire life ! I’ve seen and been through all the difficult aspects of owning and looking after horses . From up to my knees in mud to having to put the horse first and make hard decisions. I have helped out on livery yards however have never previously done it as a job . I don’t mind poo picking and ragworting and i actually find it therapeutic. I have ocd so I tend to hand pick out poo out of my beds to ensure that they are immaculate!! I love a nice and tidy yard ! I’ve always been the rider with the sticky bum ! I have rehabbed friends horse’s and have exercised friends horses . I have my own riders insurance too. I may not have a lot of experience in working on livery yards but I do have experience with owning horses . Each and every horse that I’ve helped out with is treated as my own . And as a horse owner that’s what I look for when someone looks after my horse .
I am 165cm and around 8 stone so I can ride horses of all heights .
Key Skills
– riding / schooling/ jumping horses of different abilities ages and heights ( dressage is something that requires a bit of work )
-I work well in a team and alone ! I’m an extremely bubbly and chatty person who can multitask ! (I can chat away whilst still getting my jobs done!)
– I am experienced handling youngsters and foals and hordes of all sizes and abilities
– I have clipped quite a few times ( I have my own clippers ) however this is still something that I believes requires a bit of work
– I muck out and turn out to a high standard! I’ve owned a cremello , a tabiano and a sooty buckskin so I know all the tricks to get all different coats to look shiny ! And how to get out stubborn stains out of a cremello !
Strengths and Weaknesses
• being around horses can be the most calming place in the world and also the most hectic ! But either way I can deal with whatever is thrown my way
• I would like to improve my clipping and braiding .
• I have a horse of my own and have grown up with horses . I understand exactly what people are looking for in those that look after their horses . They want their horses to be looked after as though they are their own !
