Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
It has been a passion of mine since I was 13 and I have never waivered!
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to further advance my riding and competition skills. I would also like to develop and utilise my managerial capabilities.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I have 10 years+ experience in a variety of roles within the equine industry: I am a well qualified individual who is experienced in riding, coaching, grooming, staff supervision and the daily running of a yard. I am a very motivated person, I am a team player and am always looking to improve my skills and abilities within the roles I have. Horse welfare has always been at the forefront of everything that I do, and I have experience of promoting and implementing good horse management practices. I am a people person and have excellent interpersonal skills, and have benefitted from working with some inspirational and well-known people within the industry.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I am looking for a full or part-time role, preferably Monday to Friday, with one worked weekend a month on a rota system if needed. However I would also consider working a regular weekend day: my preference would be for this to be a Saturday, with Sunday/Monday off if this is the case.
I am looking for a senior role where I can implement a high standard of care whether it be myself or supervising/managing members of staff.
In addition, I would like a role which includes riding and exercising horses daily (not just hacking) for the benefit of the horses and to further develop my own riding.
I am a BHS Accredited Professional Coach and have a real passion for teaching, with extensive experience and would welcome a role that included some coaching as well as riding.
I live in Hampton Hill, London and I am looking for a job ideally within a reasonable distance from here (if driving on a daily basis) however, I would consider live-in for the perfect role.
• Do you need accommodation?
I would consider live-in for the perfect role.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
No, but I would consider having my horse on-site for the right role. He is a 16hh ISH, 15 years old whom I have owned for 7 years.
