30+ years of experience riding / competing and caring for Horses. A previous member of the Pony Club; representing the South Trent team in Eventing and Show Jumping.
I continued to be a competitive amateur in grass roots Eventing; completing Milton Keynes 3de and also placing in Lands 2de as well as various wins and placings in local ode’s. Highlights include Qualifying for the Eventer league final at Osberton International Horse Trials as well as Horseware Ireland Hunter Trial championships. Extremely Proud to have been the 2019 Arena Eventing Champion at Vale View championships and I have been fortunate enough to train with high profile riders in both Dressage and Eventing
Aside from eventing I have also been competitive in showing including Search for a Star classes and winning Novice County Working Hunter classes , qualifying for NCPA POYS on my home produced Connemara. In more recent years, following retirement of my old event horse; I have enjoyed hunting and also volunteering for British Eventing, including fence judge at Chatsworth International Horse Trials.
Competing aside, I have a BSc (Hons) in Equine Sports Science and also a diploma gained during a years placement at the Royal (Dick) Veterinary Hospital where I worked as an Equine Technician.
During my placement I helped clinicians and students with various diagnostic procedures including radiography/ ultrasound and also treadmill endoscopy. Surgical procedures included colic surgery / caesareans as well as advanced dental procedures and wind operations. Many of the horses were performance horses including Racehorses , so additional needs had to be considered for feeding and management.
Professionally , I have been a Sales Manager in the medical devices / care industry for 14 years and therefore could also assist with Business Development, Administration and Support should that be required
