Experience with Horses
I have been riding horses for a few months now and I’m also helping out around the stable. As a child, I took care of the horses on my family’s farm.
Key Skills
I can work in a team and also independently. I learn quickly, I have good maintenance skills, I’m open to new ideas and I like to gain new skills. The experience which I got from growing up on a farm gave me strong abilities to solving problems and fixing or building things by myself. There is nothing impossible for me, as I believe that everything can be done if you have a right attitude.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
The best part of working with horses is being able to be outside, close to the nature, being active and building a relationship with these amazing animals. While I was working as an engineer I realised that sitting down all day in a office is unhealthy for my body and mind, so since I’ve started helping out on a farm I feel much better, as contact with the nature was always a very important part of my life.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my knowledge about horse care and training. I would like to also improve my communication skills, as I was always shy, but start to open while I needed to learn how to take care of the horse by myself. I would also like to learn how to ask for help, if it’s needed, as some things could be done quicker and easier with someone else around.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
Employers should consider me above other job seeker because I’m a hardworking person, I’m not afraid of challenges and above all, I want to take care of the welfare of animals. As I mentioned before, I like challenges as I believe that right attitude can change everything. I prefer to act, not to finding the cons or problems in every little thing.
