Experience with Horses
Attentive Equine Yard Manager with over 30 years background providing round-the-clock care for horses and owners. Talented at connecting with horses and building long-lasting relationships with owners. Compassionate carer, skilled at managing, hardworking and good with managing teams.
Looking at relocating and working on a yard/farm with my partner. I have extensive knowledge with the equine industry and running yards/businesses and my partner is a fully qualified mechanic but fantastic handyman, jack of all trades person. I have over 8 years experience working as a Special Constable for Lancashire Constabulary and within this role hold my DBS and First Aid.
Key Skills
I have gained valuable experience in my time working as a competitions groom/sole manager/Police Officer and Events planner. I feel i have exceptional skills with communication, working as a team as well as on my own, working under pressure. I work well with all breeds/disciplines of horses/ponies and thrive at making things work well.
Strengths and Weaknesses
I love working with horses especially ones who may have a few niggles that they need to overcome, i am a very patient rider/handler and work to achieve great results. Working outdoors is what a enjoy the most. Days off are usually spent with my dogs hiking up mountains or paddle boarding in a lake somewhere.
I feel with my extensive experience within the equine industry and also my professional experience with my other jobs have shown that i am a hard working, dedicated person and willing to give everything i can to make a home/business a success.
Requirements
I would like to work at getting my Class 2 lorry license.
I would like a job where a house is included that would accept well behaved dogs.
I work as a Special Constable and may consider carrying this professionalism on. This is a voluntary role and works when i have days off.
No holidays booked but i do get married 19th March 2026.
