Experience with Horses
I’ve had horses and ridden myself since I was a child, competed internationally on ponies and trained with top riders through the national team in Denmark. I started as an event groom when I was 17 in 2022, and did that for about a year and a half. In that time I groomed both nationally and internationally all over Europe, including the World Championships in Pratoni 2022.
I’ve since end of 2023 worked a regular day job while training a few of my own young horses. I currently have a 4 year old I broke in last year, and a 6 year old ex-racehorse, that I am continuing the retraining of, with the goal of getting out to events next season.
I have some experience as a competition groom and can do everything required for going to, and getting ready for an event. I would however require some level of training, as it is a while ago, and specific preferences in terms of how best to turn a horse out for an event, seem quite different from country to country. I’ve always worked as part of a smaller team, and am good with working both alone and with others.
Requirements
I would like to develop myself as a rider and gain more knowledge on management of the horses. My long term goal would be to establish myself as a professional rider sometime in the future.
Ideally accommodation would be included as I would be moving from Denmark, however not a complete disaster if not available
I currently have two horses and would want to bring at least one, but ideally both, however that may be possible.
