Experience with Horses
I have worked as an employee and freelance and am happy in either situation. I have worked in many different equestrian disciplines over the years. I have had a string of polo ponies and also worked with school polo ponies. I have worked in showing, show jumping and over seen clients horses at livery to name a few of my roles. I am happy working alone or as part of a team.
Key Skills
I am very particular about clean tack, stables and horses and can not stand dirty buckets. Attention to detail was a skill I learnt at the age of 16 working for a show cob team and it is a trait that I have applied to all my equestrian positions. I am a good time keeper, loyal and dedicated. Not afraid of hard work. I am happy clipping, pulling manes and tails but am no longer able to plait very well. I am a very kind capable rider and happy to work with young stock.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• working with horses is the best type of work.
• I would like to get my hgv licence and I would like to improve the skills I have and recent advances is veterinary care.
•I am older, I have lots of valuable experience and knowledge I can share with younger colleagues. I am trustworthy, conscientious, and care about the horses I work with.
Requirements
• I would like to re boot my skills having had a break from equestrian work.
• I need a live out position not more than 40mins travel time preferably
• I have two dogs who would like to come to work with me if possible. Both neutered.
• I am mum to three young men, youngest 15 years old, also a equestrian loving. I have worked full time equestrian jobs when they were much younger so the worst is behind me but do need to be able to keep to a schedule or bring youngest with me occasionally
• I have x6 days booked beginning August 2025, would re-schedule for right position.
