Experience with Horses
I have owned horses for about 5-6 years and currently have my own pony who I bought as a seven year old. I adore spending time with him, going on hacks or training him to use his body correctly using ground work and long reining. Before owning horses I part loaned a few and had an odd riding lesson with lots of different types of instructors. My horse is on DIY livery and I am fully competent in mucking out and stable duties, I am fit and strong and enjoy physical work. Since owning my pony I have learnt lots of skills from mainly natural horsemanship instructors who have helped me to improve my groundwork knowledge substantially. I am confident using groundwork to improve manners or teach movements, lunging, riding on hacks and handling a variety of horses. More recently, I have been using clicker training (R+) with my pony and I really enjoy doing this, it has helped me to work with him at liberty and improve his focus all round.
Key Skills
My strong points are that I am good working alone, very self motivated and patient. I work with what I have and try to make a positive step each day. I have been told I am patient and relaxed around nervous or excited horses.

I would love further riding experience with different horses.

I am self motivated and a fast learner. I am looking to move into a new sector so I am happy to learnt a lot.

I would like to gain experience in an equine job, also I would like to gain employment doing something which I really enjoy!
