Experience with Horses
25 years experience with horses. Completed a Level 4 Equine Training and Coaching Diploma with the Natural Animal Center and looking to start my BHS awards.
I am also working towards completing my Equinology Level 1 Sports Massage Externship.
Have experience dealing with many different horses, different temperaments and behaviours, young and old.
Have personal experience with the rehabilitation of a horse with body, hoof and behaviour problems.
Key Skills
I am very comfortable working alone and with others.
I am very good with horses. I have a quiet manner and my training education gives me skills in equine communication and behaviours that allows me to deal with issues before they arise.
My own horse experience has given me a vast foundation in horses suffering compromises and how to facilitate their rehabilitation.

I enjoy being with horses and their energy.

I am always looking for CPD opportunities and do my own research external to specific courses.

I am organised and meticulous around the yard. I have very good observational skills for horse communication and I understand their ethogram behaviours and what they are revealing to us. I understand how to shape behaviour and calm over-aroused horses quickly.
I have good gait assessment training and can spot slight gait issues, helping to prevent issues developing further.
An experienced rider, I enjoy hacking out mainly.
I am confident working alone and am very aware of observing health and safety issues, constantly risk accessing to prevent accidents.
I have strong business skills, and can communicate confidently and clearly with clients. I am adept at financial management and am a proficient bookkeeper.

I am looking for a job in the equine industry. I have spent my life in finance, now gaining my qualification I would like to move into the industry to gain practical skills.
