I am currently 16 years old and still in school, but I will be finishing soon and am looking for part-time work with horses. I have 9 years of experience in horse care and riding, which has given me confidence in all aspects of stable care and ridden work. Whether it’s mucking out stables, grooming, feeding, or assisting with medical care, I am fully capable of handling the day-to-day responsibilities that come with caring for horses. I am comfortable working independently and am proactive in ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
One of the aspects I most enjoy about working with horses is the sense of fulfillment and connection that comes from building trust with these incredible animals. Their intelligence and unique personalities make every interaction meaningful, and seeing progress, whether in training or in their overall well-being, is deeply rewarding. However, I recognize areas where I can improve, such as my plaiting skills and further developing my riding abilities, which I am eager to refine if needed for a future role.
Employers should consider me for a position because of my solid experience, work ethic, and passion for horses. My hands-on experience ensures that I can take on any responsibilities with confidence, and I am eager to continue learning and growing in the field of horse care. In my next role, I hope to further enhance my skills, particularly in plaiting and riding.
I do not require accommodation, nor do I have any special requirements for bringing animals with me. I also have no ongoing commitments apart from a holiday booked later in the year for a week. For work availability, I can commit to part-time hours, including weekday evenings and mornings/evenings on weekends.
Once I finish school, I’ll be able to dedicate more time to the role and am eager to contribute as much as possible.
