Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I am looking for an equine job. I have spent the majority of my life which i’ve had a variety of different horses, ranging from colts to thoroughbreds. I am able to do all the basics of exercising horses and caring for them, i have my level 1 BHS in horse care and riding. due to being at college, i haven’t had a full time job, but due to circumstances i have now decided to look into getting a full time job in the equine industry.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I’m good at working on my own, but also excel at working as a part of a team. due to my experience with having young, fresh horses i know what to do in a situation where i am handed a young horse and can safely complete the task. i don’t have much experience clipping, but the times that i have, they have gone successfully and im willing to further my skills. due to balancing having a part time job, horses, education and learning to drive, it has given me a chance to learn how to effectively manage my time.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
i enjoy watching their personalities grow and seeing them reach their potential
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
i’d like to improve on my skills when it comes to preparing for a show, such as plaiting and clipping etc. i’d also like to reach my full potential within the equestrian industry.

i have years of experience handling different breeds and ages of horses, if there was a problem, i am keen to solve it quickly and efficiently whilst assessing any risks that could occur.
