Experience with Horses
I’ve Worked on AH Eventing and Livery yard since November 1st 2023 where I’ve completed a range of duties from general yard duties ie mucking out , hay nets , poo picking , rug changes, making up feeds etc as well as preparing for competition cleaning tack, bathing horses , learning to plait up & clip (skills I’m still developing) I also ride regularly mainly fitness hacking with occasional flat schooling .
During this time I’ve also worked freelance doing house sitting with horse holiday cover and dog walking .
Prior to this I’ve worked on a livery yard for 11 months (jan 2023-November 2023) where I also completed general yard duties horse care and maintenance

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy working with horses as I like gaining a unique bond and build trust with the horses , I like being outdoor and active the whole day routine of caring for horses from mucking out to riding and even brushing and being around horses bring me joy and happiness, I also like being around horses as it’s a peaceful and relaxing environment.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d love to improve on my show turnout skills ie plaiting up and clipping theses are things I’m working on and gaining more confidence with but would love to develop these skills further

From my next job I would like the opportunity to develop my show groom skills and gain more experience out grooming as well as being able to ride more
