I have experience in computer skills where I have navigated different systems to ensure information is inputted correctly. I also have experience in manual work which included hard physical work on the farm in all types of weather, lifting heavy bales of haylage. I have a full driving licence and have use of my own car. Therefore accommodation is not required.
I’ve been around horses since age 9, working odd shifts on one since age 14.
I have a lot of experience handling all types of horses/animals. Stallions, foals, race horses, sheep, pigs. I’m confident in doing this.
I’m confident and committed with all yard duties including mucking out to a high standard (straw and shavings beds) filling haynets, preparing feeds, filling waters, turning out and bringing in, riding, lunging, long reining, cleaning drinkers, poo picking, sweeping yard areas, loading and opening new bales of haylege into the barn, putting down new bedding, throwing the muck heap up, ect.
I would be happy to prepare horses for shows including bathing, hot clothing, preparing for plaiting. (I can plait however not to show standard but would be happy to continue to learn this).
I have knowledge and skills of basic first aid for horses and signs to check for incase of needing vet attention.
weekdays would be preferable however weekends could be offered on an alternating rotation.
