Experience with Horses
I have more than 10 years of experience with horses, and a wide range of equine related skills and experience. I have been working in a non-equestrian profession for around 21 months or so now, and would love the opportunity to return to my passion by working on an overseas equestrian establishment. I will need to obtain a work visa/sponsorship.
Key Skills
In recent years I have primarily worked with polo horses, however, my prior experience includes working with eventers, show jumpers, and young horses, backing, schooling etc. I also have experience coaching riders from beginner to novice level. I have worked on yards ranging in size from 10 – 30 horses as a team member and team leader.
My qualifications pertaining to equestrian sports:
- National certificate in equine (stable procedures) sport horse stable assistant level 3
- National certificate in equine (preliminary coaching) level 3.
My qualifications outside of equestrian sports include:
- Bachelor of Laws
- Bachelor of Commerce – Major Marketing – Minor Human Resource Management
I have a New Zealand driver’s licence (car)
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I have always had a passion for horses and riding. I also very much enjoy the rural lifestyle which working with horses provides.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I have spent a significant amount of time working with polo horses, but would value the opportunity to develop my skills with sport horses (eventing/show jumping) further or try something new such as western, treking etc.

I am a well rounded person with experience across different industries. I have the ability to adapt quickly to new roles and environments as I have held many fixed term roles. I have a sense of adventure and independence which allows me to adapt well when working and living in new places.

I am looking for an opportunity to work and live overseas. Currently, residing in my home country New Zealand.
I am a New Zealand citizen. Therefore, I will need to obtain a work visa/sponsorship.

I may wish to bring my dog if offered a job in Australia, but would not bring my dog if travelling further from home (NZ).
