Experience with Horses
I have owned my own horses since 3 years old and live on a livery stables so have been working with horses of all times for many years , I have competed up to 120cm. I have schooled and competed on everything from 13.2hh cob up to 17.3hh warm blood x Irish sports horse. I’m not nervous or jumpy around horses and am currently sitting the bhs 1 and 2 lunge , care and ride so have the knowledge required to work around horses professionally.
Key Skills
My expertise is in showjumping and schooling on the flat , however I’m a very fast at mucking up, waters , rug changes.etc . I’m precise and accurate with grooming and competition preparation in all areas. I am very good in a crisis and can calmly handle a situation and take the required action needed to keep everyone safe.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I most enjoy seeing the results of the hard work. I feel working with horses is very rewarding as watching the stable going from dirty to clean and seeing the progress in the animal after months of hard work is such a good feeling and continues to motivate me.
• I would like to improve my plaiting skills. I’m a confident clipper however not the best at plaiting, I would love to work with stallions as I have done very little with them.
• I have great experience, I have been in almost every situation with horses so I know how to react to them, quickly and safely. I am very accurate with my work and a little bit of a perfectionist however I’m still quick at my job.
Requirements
• I would like to work around more people and horses of different kinds and gain experience and knowledge in the industry.
• I would require accommodation however if this is not possible I have the funds to find a place myself.
• I have no special requirements.
• I have no commitments ongoing accept full time education until June 2025.
• I have one holiday booked in July to Thailand, however I may be able to cancel this for the right job.
