I have previously worked in yards mostly from I was 13/14 years old, mucking out, feeding, grooming etc. I can do all the necessary yard work no problem. I love going to shows to watch all the hard work and long days pay off when our horses do well. I worked internationally grooming for Harry Marshall, Christopher Marshall and savannah marshall all at the one time. We had horses from yearlings to fro Grand Prix level, so I have covered all basis. I take pride in my work and can take criticism.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I can work as a team although prefer to be head of the team so I know everything is being done correctly and efficiently. I do like clipping and working with young/sensitive/shy stock. I have good time keeping and people skills.
I can’t stand a messy yard in the morning and like the yard to be pristine when finishing up the yard for the day. so tack, walkways feed areas etc must be clean and clutter free. Headcollars and lead ropes to be hung and rolled up correctly.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I just love working with horses, they make me feel whole. There’s no better faces to be meeting in the morning when walking into work.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I haven’t done show turn out for a while, i know it is an area we’re I will have to practice in, although it shouldn’t take me long to get back into the way of things.

It isn’t just a job for me, I would like to build and progress my career. Hopefully finding somewhere I can make myself at home and make a life for myself.
