Experience with Horses
I have been riding for 14 years and I have been working with horses from the age of 16. I got my own horse at the age of 12 and produced him myself from a foal.
I am currently head groom at a stud/livery yard so there’s a wide range of horses I handle on a day to day basis this includes: stallions, youngsters, colts and veterans. I also ride youngsters to get them ready to find their forever homes. I have previously worked for a lady who showjumped internationally so I also have experience with fit competition horses.
Key Skills
I can work alone, work with others, handle/ride young horses, purchase hay/feed orders when needed, work in all weathers and conditions, I love a challenge, committed.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I enjoy working with horses because they bring peace as well as hard work so they keep you busy and occupied. They give you a level of freedom that nothing else can give you, once you have a ride you can get on with a head full of thoughts/ things you need to do but after the ride your head is clear and you’re ready to reset again!
• I would like to improve my turning out skills and being more confident in my work.
• I think I should be considered because I am a hard worker and no job is ever too big for me and I will always try my best.
