Experience with Horses
Worked with horses since the age of 14. Starting in a riding school, moving to rehabilitation and livery, eventing, international showjumping, flat and national hunt yards.
I have owned my own horses since a young age, been in pony club. Evented my now retired mare up to BE100, show jumped up to 1.10m.
In recent years, I have run my own equestrian freelance business. Built up clients across the UK, gained from working in yards listed above.
I have BHS qualifications such as road safety, stage1 and stage2. A distinction * in Equine management level 3. And, a degree in animal biology. During this time I also worked in various equine vets and an equine pharmaceutical dispensary.
Key Skills
I am flexible in terms of working I can manage, work independently or as a team. I enjoy riding and training young horses and sensitive/troubled horses. I have retrained ex-racehorses and horses which clients are scared of.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy seeing horses develop and gain trust throughout time. I also enjoy the discipline of getting horses fit for competing.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my clipping and further improve my competitive riding skills.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I have extensive experience academically and professionally with horses. I am passionate and caring and treat every horse as if it was my own (don’t believe in one size fits all). I like to get to know the people involved with the horses and have an understanding of owners preferences.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No
