Experience with Horses
Polo – home and match grooming, exercising, playing, schooling.
Racing – yard duties, handling, work riding.
trail guiding- taking out clients on trail rides around the Borana and Lewa conservancies in Kenya.
management – stable management of 24 safari horses and 6 grooms. taking charge of exercising, training, and all basic veterinary Hare.
backing and starting using natural, non-harmful, horsemanship methods, including join up.
Key Skills
Organised, tidy, efficient. I have worked with quite a variety of horses and have keen eye and passion for the welfare of horses, going hand in hand with my background in physiotherapy. I also adore working with young horses and watching them progress. I also enjoy polo, however love all aspects of riding and am keen to get involved with anything and everything including and farm tasks. having grown up in Africa I’m very practically minded and have a strong can do positive attitude.
Strengths and Weaknesses
•I have a strong love for all things veterinary and over the years have been taught to stitch, inject, take bloods, bandage to a high level etc…
I also have a passion for young horses and watching them grow helping them learn.
although I have ridden for majority of my life and a wide variety of horses I am a self taught rider and so a perfect dressage test is most likely not on the cards.
