I’m calm and patient with young horses through all stages of their education from ground work to their first shows. I have backed and produced two of my personal horses who have both gone on to be balanced and well rounded horses that can adapt to any new environments. I previously assisted in backing and rebacking my employers horses.
I have experience with race horses from my previous job where I was a work rider. I assisted with the foal watch for one season, and backing of the 3 year olds, along with the yearlings and 2 year olds handling. Whilst going to the races I was typically the only groom so was left to turn out the horses for the parade rings myself, and collecting the horses after their runs, so I’m efficent and well balanced when left in sole charge.

Some of my key skills are solo charge making sure everything is done to a high standard, along with working with others. I have lots of experience turning out for shows and handling/riding young horses

I’d like to further my riding skills with a particular emphasis on showjumping. I want to learn from people with new perspectives.
