Experience with Horses

I possess a diverse skill set in equine therapy and natural horsemanship that includes expertise in Bladder Meridian Therapy, Trauma release, Fascia release and Sports massage. My experience encompasses grooming, tacking up horses, and preparing them for disabled riders, ensuring their safety and comfort. I am proficient in lunging, leading, and sidewalking with horses, which enhances the therapeutic experience for riders. My knowledge extends to the application of the Polyvagal Theory and Heart Rate Coherence principles in equine therapy, along with insights from Quantum Biology and Equine Ethology, allowing me to foster a deeper understanding of the human-animal bond and its psychological benefits.

In my work with horses, I excel in independent settings, recognizing that both the horse and I benefit from a calm, undisturbed environment. I am skilled at calming horses in stressful situations, ensuring their well-being and comfort. I am eager to enhance my riding skills in disciplines such as show jumping and dressage, as this improvement will deepen my understanding of equine movements and biomechanics. Additionally, I am interested in gaining knowledge in foaling, including the processes of pregnancy in mares and equine birthing practices.
