Experience with Horses
I have been riding since I was three years old and competed in many disciplines including: Showing, Dressage and Show Jumping. I currently have two show jumpers and have competed both Nationally and Internationally up to 135cm.
I have worked in the equestrian industry for the past 9 years. Initially as a groom with Adam Taylor at Jump Elite working my way up to head girl and show groom. I have groomed internationally up to 3* level. I am now working on a freelance basis.
Key Skills:
I have worked in a supervisory capacity on a busy yard, covering sales, training apprentices and organising the owners diary – including: show entries, clients , staff, vets etc.
I can turn out to a very high standard including: clipping, plaiting and general show turn out.
I have had a significant amount of experience handling young, competition, and race horses – including stallions.
I have good literacy and communication skills and behave in a professional manner at all times.
Strengths and Weaknesses
I really enjoy competitions and find being around horses rewarding.
I am now looking for a more secure position on a different type of yard.
I am honest, reliable, have an excellent work ethic and I am extremely flexible.
