Experience with Horses
I am 19, I have ridden all my life and have worked in the industry since I was 14. I have a experience in numerous roles within the industry, including working on livery yards and in riding school, as a home groom and competition groom, experience with breaking, bringing on and selling on a professional yard. I also own my own horse who I compete affiliated in showjumping up to discovery level.
Key Skills
Friendly, kind, polite, motivated and committed, looking for new challenges and responsibilities. A conscientious worker with an excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills. Innovative and able to use initiative to work without supervision and to problem solve. Pays attention to detail and remains focussed, I will put my all into anything however if I were to choose plaiting and preparing for competitions is where I excel.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Connecting with each individual horse and learning their different quirks and personalities.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
My knowledge of the sport as a whole, from floor to on board, despite already having 17 years of experience I still have so much to learn.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am very hands on and dedicated, home time is not a time on the clock, it’s when I’m fully happy everything is done to the highest standards. I do not just see the horses as working animals, I care for them with great pride and compassion.
