Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have previously owned my own horses and have qualifications:
Haddon Training 2009 to 2010
Horse Care – 06/09/2010 – NVQ Level 2
Key Skills in Working with Others – 06/09/2010 – C&G Level 1
Apprenticeship in Equine – 31/08/2010 – Successful Completion
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
My strengths lie within working within a team and managing people effectively. I understand the difference & importance of my colleagues work and learning abilities alongside the needs and functionality of day-to-day tasks.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
The thing I find most rewarding from working with horses and other animals is the relationship/bond/trust you are able to form. Any animal be it horse or guinea pig, it can only be built on trust and a frankly basic understanding of their thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would very much like to improve my knowledge and understanding of everyone and every being I am close to.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am hard working and just won’t to learn as much as I can. “Life” has interfered, prohibited and got in the way of my ultimate goals too much already, it is time to fully pursue my life goals
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I would desperately like to gain more riding experience, after being out of the saddle for 10+ years I know I have the potential to get back to my earlier abilities, but I need the helo and training in order to do so.
• Do you need accommodation?
Yes
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
I have a house cat, she is very important to me but also extremely well behaved. We have a special relationship and bond that only other animal-lovers can understand. She is very well behaved and not at all destructive, a safe addition to any household.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
My current circumstances allow myself every Wednesday as my day off in order to collect my nephew from school.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
