Experience with Horses
I have 16 years experience riding and training a variety of horses of different ages, temperaments, breeds, and heights. I am confident working with young horses, stallions, and mares from Andalusians and Warmbloods to Thoroughbreds and Arabians. I have competed and placed between 1st and 4th in affiliated FEI dressage competitions on several occasions, competing up to advanced medium level. My most recent experiences included working as a freelance horse trainer in Dubai for 2 years, as an assistant stud manager in the UK for 1 year, and as a groom for 2 years in the UK.
Additionally, I bring a wealth of marketing and consulting experience with me from my previous roles as Marketing Executive, Business Development Consultant, Marketing Strategy Analyst, and Events Marketing Assistant. Therefore, I will be able to provide value in spotting business growth opportunities, whether that be through stable / rider marketing activities or PR i.e., sponsorship acquisition and social media management.

Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy the challenge of bringing on different horses through their training and learning new techniques that work with each horse.
I also enjoy working together with riders and horses to help their partnerships improve by undertaking a holistic analysis of horse and rider fitness, nutrition, experience, and goals.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my ability to take training tactics and see them consistently succeed in the competition arena. I would also like to improve my sales experience and apply my marketing skills to the equine industry.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
The majority of employees in the equine industry bring either hands-on equine experience or business experience. Rarely do they have both. I bring that unique combination to employers. These valuable skills will help me be valuable across multiple facets of the business. I do not only have the knowledge and experience needed to work hands-on with horses, but I also bring with me competitive experience, international expertise, and key marketing and consultancy skills that can help me spot opportunities for equine businesses to grow.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I am an ambitious individual looking for something I can grow in. I am open to both equine and non-equine roles.
If it is an equine-only role, I am not looking for a groom-only role. I am searching for a yard that is of a high, competitive standard where my riding/training can improve, and I either have the chance to compete myself or I prepare horses for such competitions. Though most of my experience is in dressage, I have some jumping, endurance, and vaulting experience, so those roles are welcomed too. This may also include equine performance consultant roles where I work with horses and riders to develop training plans to achieve their riding/competition goals.
If competition is not a possibility, then I would like to have the scope of combining the riding/training role with social media, photography, or marketing activities. I would like this role to connect me to the intersection between the equine side and the business side so that I can gain the creative skills specific to helping equine businesses grow rapidly on an international scale.
