Experience with Horses
I have been around horses all my life and I’m very confident dealing with all ages, breeds, heights and temperaments. I’m a very capable rider and have been in pony club teams and many competitions. I groom to a high standard making sure the yard and horse are always looking their best, as I take pride in this and it creates a good image for a business. I’m confident in all areas of they day-to-day work on the yard and at competitions making me a valuable team member.
Key Skills
My skills stand out when working with young horses. I have handled many young horses and always find that I gel well with them. I have a calm approach which is key as they are more prone to feeling tense when something new comes their way. I am confident which allows them to feed of mine.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy all aspects as I find it very rewarding.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to improve on my clipping, I am very confident and have clipped many horses however I’d like to be neater.
I believe that I’m well suited to this role as I have a strong work ethic, and I’m reliable. I’m very confident with children of all ages and have been told by many people that I’m “good with children”. I have experience with disabled people of different ages as well and have good communication skills which makes them feel more comfortable.
