Experience with Horses
I am a very experienced rider and have owned my own two horses for a number of years.
I have helped at my old equestrian yard on an ad hoc basis in addition to my full time role. This involved leading horses, mucking out and other associated yard duties. I am confident handling all types of horses.
Key Skills
Competed up to Novice at Dressage.
I can jump a course of 1.10 m
Horsemanship and an ability to ride tricky horses.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I absolutely love being with horses and it is my passion. I am desperate to make a career in what I love.
I love riding, and lots of people have spotted my potential and trust me to ride their horses. This is due to me being a kind and light rider.
I have supported people by riding their horses when the riders have been injured e.g. a lady with a broken back, another who had an operation and someone who asked me to ride her 4 star event horse because nobody else was confident enough to do so.
I am truly dedicated and given an opportunity I would be a hard working, loyal and committed employee. I have skills to offer but also have things to learn and I am certainly not arrogant in my approach and always willing to take feedback to improve.
I don’t have loads of experience plaiting etc., I can do this but don’t think it’s my skill to perform quickly.
Requirements
• I would love a job riding as much as possible.
• I am based in Leeds and would require accommodation if the role is far away
• I have two horses and would love to bring them both. However I understand that this may not be possible.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments? I currently working full time for the Crown Prosecution Service. I am required to give one months notice.
