Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have over 13 years of expirience with horses. Over the summers I used to do all the required chores around the stable; cleaning, feeding, preparing the horses for riders leading riding lessons and lungeing. I also have some expirience with riding younger unsettled horses. In 2016 I have passed my Equestrian Skills Certificate – Brązowa Odznaka Jeździecka
Issued by the Polish Equestrian Federation (PZJ). Confirms practical and theoretical knowledge in horse care, riding (flatwork and jumping), and stable management. Comparable to the British Horse Society Stage 1 qualification.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am particularly skilled at working both independently and as part of a team. I’m comfortable handling and riding young or unsettled horses, and I have strong experience in stable management, basic first aid for horses, lungeing, and preparing horses for lessons or leisure riders. I also adapt quickly to new environments and I’m reliable when it comes to completing routine yard tasks to a high standard.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I enjoy building a connection with each horse and watching their development over time, whether in groundwork, under saddle, or through daily care. I also take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized stable environment.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I would like to further develop my riding skills, especially in advanced flatwork and jumping, and gain more experience handling stallions and competition horses.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I am reliable, hard-working, and adaptable with genuine passion and respect for horses. My broad experience, strong work ethic, and commitment to learning make me a dependable and motivated addition to any team.

Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

I would like to continue developing my riding and horse-handling skills, especially in more advanced training situations, and to expand my knowledge in stable and competition horse care.

• Do you need accommodation?

Yes, ideally I would require accommodation depending on the location of the job.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

At this time, I do not have any animals to bring with me.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

Yes, I am currently studying and working as a teacher in Warsaw during the academic year, so I am available for work primarily in July and August.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

No, I do not have any holidays planned.
