Experience with Horses

I have my own horse and have worked with horses all my life. I have a level 2 horse care which and level 3 equine management qualification. In my level 3 qualification I learnt about stud and foaling, the welfare of horses, lunging, long reining, and a wide range on clipping, plaiting, trimming and pulling. I also have done work placement at an equine veterinarian practice ambulatory and inside an equine hospital and placement at a competition yard. I can do all yard duties and turn/present horses out for sales and competitions to a high standard.

Key Skills

I am good at working with others and independently, I have good communication skills. I have handled youngsters and stallions. I can turn horses out for competition and sales. I have ridden different types of horses and ponies and I have a confident quiet rider. Within my course I have done clipping and plaiting.
