I describe myself as a hard working, quick thinking and compassionate individual. I gained a BSc Biology degree for Cardiff University and I’m used to working under high pressure in sensitive situations, with always a positive and forward thinking attitude. I pride myself in being able to suggest solutions, solve problems whilst being an integral part of my team.
I have an extreme passion for horses. I have been riding for 20 years, competed up to 90cm (unaffiliated both show jumping and eventing), represented my University at county level, I regularly ride with my local clean boot hunt (hoping to whip in next season), I have 2 of my own horses who are loaned out, I regularly teach lessons to the loaners, reschooling horses and I have extensive knowledge on horse care, health and wellbeing.
I am confident and capable in all aspects of equine work and have a keen interest in developing my skills further whether this be through online courses or in person tutoring. I am also able to enrol myself onto either The Open College of Equine Studies Level 4/5 Senior Horsemaster’s Course, alongside Equine Rehabilitation and Therapy or start an Equine apprenticeship through Ceridigion College.
Whilst I may lack job experience in the equine sector, I make up for this 10 times over in dedication, passion and an unmatched work ethic. I strive to work to the best of my ability and I’m not afraid to ask for help and support if needed. Stress is no issue for me, I always plan accordingly, organise things ahead of time and keep a level head.
I have a full clean driver’s licence and I am confident driving 3.5 tonne horseboxes at full load.
I hope that you can consider me for this job role, I would be extremely interested in discussing the role with you further.
Best wishes,
Ellen Stanton
