Experience with Horses
I have around 12 years experience assisting and working on yards, varying from small riding schools up to competition/sales livery yards.
I have owned or been around horses since a very young age (3) and I currently own my own 12 year old 18hh Hanoverian gelding. I occasionally will assist and cover holiday at my current livery yard which houses young stock, foals, competition horses etc.
I have strong riding skills and have ridden green and young horses up to your experienced veteran horses and am happy to turn a hand at anything with my main discipline and personal interest being jumping.
Key Skills
I am mostly experienced in the running of a yard and general yard work/maintenance, mucking out, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills. I have strong administration skills from my various office based roles and I have strong communication and people skills.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I love working with horses and riders and it has always been my passion to have a career with horses. I love to assist exercises horses, maintaining their stables and assisting with their general wellbeing.
• I would be keen to learn more in relation to a competition groom role such as plaiting, clipping etc. I have very minimal experience of this from my late teenage years and have not done anything like this since then so would need to be refreshed.
• I am extremely hard working and will always go above and beyond. I am trustworthy and have a key eye for detail. I am tidy and professional. I can provide a reference from my current yard manager and previous yard manager if required.
Requirements
• I am happy with a mixture of job roles or requirements but would be keen as stated above to assist more with competition groom work etc

• No pets that are required to travel with me
• I have my own horse so must be allowed time to attend to him
• No holiday booked after the last week of June currently but I have an 8 week notice with my current role
