Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

Please see attached CV for more information.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

Keeping calm under pressure, I don’t mind if working alone or as part of a team, clipping, plaiting, handling of Show Jumping youngstock, show turnout, experience with stallions when working with troubled horses.  I have been really lucky to have so much experience whilst still at a young age due to building up trust.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

The challenge and the different personalities.  Working and watching them develop into their best selves.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

We all learn from experience when it comes to horses.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

Because I will be the hardest worker they will get and give their horses my absolute full attention as if they were my own.

Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

HGV Class 1 and more experience of the bigger shows as I enjoyed the Sunshine Tour

• Do you need accommodation?

Dependant on where it as as more than happy to travel to work if not too far.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

I have 1 horse that if living on site I would like to bring with me.  He is a good boy.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

I currently ride when needed for a lady who takes in troubled horses although I would have to give that up for a full time position.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

No holidays booked
