Experience with Horses

I am a 35 year old Tourism industry professional and an experienced horse all rounder from Finland. Horses have been my passion and hobby for around 20 years, so I am an experienced rider and have lots of general horse care experience. I have 3 years of professional experience as horse riding instructor / trail guide (which included all aspects of horse care and also some basic horse training) in Australia from 2017 to 2020. I also owned 2 horses during this time. Prior to this job, I also have volunteer experience as stable worker / rider at a few different stables in Europe and Australia.

I got back to Finland in 2022 and during the first few months I worked as assistant stable manager, until I started working as Hotel reception duty manager at Scandic Hotels. I left this job in October 2024, as I wanted to go traveling for a few months and after change careers and get back to the equine industry.

In 2025, I worked in Spain as Trail guide / assistant manager at a horse riding holiday place and in Ireland as a young horse rider and groom. I started working as a home / show groom for a German show jumper in January 26, but I am looking for a position that would include more riding.

I am confident handling all kinds of horses, including young horses and stallions, and I have a lot of ground work experience. Natural horsemanship and liberty work are close to my heart, and my training methods include a lot of positive reinforcement. Most of my riding experience is from trail riding and riding young/green horses. I have been concentrating more on dressage for the last 3 years and I’ve also taken some jumping lessons (I can jump up to 80 cm). I am a reliable and hard working person (especially when doing something I love) with a lot of initiative and great organizational and leadership skills. I truly care about horses´ well being and will always put their needs/health first. I speak fluent English, Finnish, Polish and Spanish, and basic Italian. I am also a yoga teacher (500 hours of training) and photographer.

– Riding is a must! I want to improve my dressage and jumping skills and to learn about more training techniques

– Yes, unless the stables are within a 30 min drive from Bremen

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

– I have a well behaved medium size dog (border collie mix) who’s used to being around horses

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

– Would prefer to have weekends off , or at least every second weekend (I’m in a relationship)
