Experience with horses
I’ve loved horses for as long as I can remember, I studied horse management & horse rehab and therapy at Moulton college for three years. Whilst doing this I volunteered at my local hunt. I’ve done little bits and bobs on different yards, show jumping yards, point to point etc. The past three years I’ve worked on a family run yard where I managed the day to day care of all the horses.
Key Skills
im very good at managing a yard, I’ve been head groom for the past three years & it’s been a dream come true. I love helping staff develop skills and encourage them to go outside their comfort zones. I’ve also ran the same yard of 6 horses by self day in day out, I’m happy to work along side other staff or just be solely responsible. I’m good with difficult horses, stubborn and nervous horses. I’m always willing to give a horse a chance and build that trust up
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
The energy a horse gives is my favourite part of working with horses, all they want is love and you to be a gentle energy with them. Their forgiving when you make mistakes & willing to trust
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to improve on my turn out skills, get neater at clipping (I’m super ocd so want to completely perfect it!) I absolutely love learning new skills.

I’m a very passionate about horses, I will go above and beyond, I’m very flexible. I love learning new things and being a part of a team where we can put the horses first. I’m very ocd with my stables and love things to be neat and everything have a place. Things should be organised so every member of staff knows where to find it!
