I am currently working as an equestrian care assistant on a yard with 10 horses. Some of these are ex-racehorses and others are the family’s own horses. I am looking for a yard based job working with horses and doing general yard work.
I have experience with mucking out, turning out, making feeds and administering medications. I am happy to work alone or with others. I have a real passion for horses and other animals and will give anything a go.
I find being around horses very peaceful and I’ve always loved taking care of them from a young age. I never just wanted to ride I loved even the simple tasks like filling haynets and mucking out.
If an opportunity arose, I would like to improve my riding skills as I haven’t had the opportunity to ride for a while. However, I would also be happy to work a non-ridden role. I would also like to improve my general horse knowledge as each horse is different and so is the way that people deal with them. I am big on self improvement and always open to new ideas.
I would love the opportunity to complete my BHS stages if possible but overall I would like to increase my knowledge of horse care. I would most likely require accommodation but this may not be necessary depending on the location of the job. I have a holiday booked 04/07/25-20/07/05 and 14/08/25-19/08/25.
