Experience with horses
I have many years of experience with horses I have been around horses since the age of 4 and have owned them since the age of 6. I have learnt the responsibilities of looking after many different horses with their own individual quirks. In the year 2023 I had an apprenticeship at Hood Hill livery yard, where I’d turnout/bring in and do full muck outs. During this apprenticeship I improved my knowledge of horse care, my time keeping skills and responsibility.
Key Skills
I am capable of working alone however I can also work in a team and possess good teamwork skills such as communication and listening. I also have many equine skills, having owned quirky horses and understand the patience needed to deal with a horse. I have ridden from a young age so I am experienced with the riding aspect and the responsibility that comes with horses.
Strengths and Weaknesses
The thing I most enjoy about working with horses is the unpredictable nature of the job and the variety, I like how everyday is never the same. I am a caring kind compassionate individual with a passion for horses.
I would mainly like to improve my knowledge of horses and my team work skills.
I believe employers should choose me over other job seekers as I am a hard worker and have a lot of experience with horses and understand that there are many different backgrounds in the horse
Requirements
I would like to gain confidence and experience and work towards a career wanting to work with horses.
I do not require accommodation as I have a car and am confident driving long distances if needed.
No I do not need to bring any animals with as have recently sold my horse.I do not have any ongoing commitments.At the moment I do not have any holidays or trips booked.
