Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
From a very young age I’ve been obsessed with all animals. I my 21 years I’ve owned: dogs, cats, goats, horses, a donkey, lizards and snakes. Horse , by far, are my biggest passion. It’s such a rewarding environment. You only get out of it what you put in and I think that’s a very valuable lesson.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
One of my biggest downfalls of the equine world is the attitude towards the animals. Some disciplines/producers/trainers are very unethical when it comes to the welfare of the horses. I have seen first hand how these animals are treated and I’m very passionate about making a difference in the way these animals are treated
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
im hardworking and extremely motivated. Although I’m only 21, I have 15+ years of experience. I had my own horse when I was 6- a standardbred pacer who raced in point to point. I have worked on multiple riding schools. Competition yards and have produced my own horses/pony. My current horse – kiwi- is a 15hh of the track thoroughbred. I bought him as a 2 year old and have spent the last 4 years rehabbing him through various surgeries and eventually getting ugliness ridden happily under saddle.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I’d like to gain more experience in the completion world, while I have competed in showing up to county level, I’d really like to further my experience and knowledge within that sector. While lacking the confidence I do also enjoy showjumping. I’d also love the chance to work on a stud yard as I am very interested in breeding.

Depending on how far away the job is I would need accommodation
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you? If possible I’d love to bring my own horse with me, it’s not essential.
