I have worked with horses for 7 years. I applied for the British racing school at 15. My application was successful, so at 16 I attended the BRS and from there went on to do an apprenticeship. Ambitious and keen to learn I wanted to progress in the industry and had views to become head girl and ride as an amature jockey. Both of which I have achieved

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I work well alone or as part of a team. I pride myself on high standards of work place cleanliness, good communication skills, organization and time management skills.
I can ride work, school, plait, turn out to a high standard. I am an empathetic rider and take a quiet approach with my horses, I believe every horse is unique and deserves to be treated with the time and respect they deserve.
My non equine skills include ; cooking, cleaning and childcare

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
The thing I enjoy most about working with horses is getting to know each horse individually,figuring them out and building bonds with them. I also enjoy watching them grow, develop and reach their potential. The outdoorsy nature of the job is a massive part of the enjoyment for me .

I’m a hard working, driven and dedicated individual. I strive for excellence in everything I do, I’m always looking for ways to learn and grow and keep an open mindset going into new challenges.

I would like to gain more experience within childcare and work with different types of horses other than race horses.

I have 2 horses.

I do not have any ongoing commitments but as a triathlete I am very dedicated to my training but this is done outside of work hours.
