Experience with Horses

I’ve been around horses from a young age, having grown up riding and caring for my own Welsh Cob. This early hands-on experience taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and connection with animals. Over time, I progressed to working with both Thoroughbreds and Cobs, further developing my skills in riding, stable management, and day-to-day horse care. I now apply this experience in my current roles, where I assist with mucking out, feeding routines, preparing haynets, schooling ponies, and identifying early signs of illness or lameness. I work confidently with a range of equine sizes and temperaments, and my lifelong passion for horses continues to grow with every day on the yard.

Strengths and Weaknesses

•I enjoy working with horses because I love being outdoors and around animals. I feel a real connection to horses and find it calming and rewarding to care for them. I’ve always had a strong love for animals, and being with horses makes me feel happy and at peace.

•I’d like to improve my knowledge and skills so I can give the best possible care to the animals I work with and grow in my role.

•I’m passionate about animals, hardworking, and reliable. I have real hands-on experience and a strong work ethic. I’m always willing to learn and give 100% in everything I do.

Requirements

•In my next job, I’d like to build on my animal care experience, learn new skills, and take on more responsibility. I want to keep improving so I can give the best care possible and grow in a role I enjoy.

• I don’t need accommodation

•I don’t have any special requirements. I have ADHD, but it doesn’t affect my ability to work. My dog usually comes with me, but it’s not a requirement if it’s not suitable for the role.

• I currently work 8-12 months/tues/Friday at a yard, which I’d like to keep and work around if possible.
I also work 5.30-10pm Tues/wed waitressing.  But I can sacrifice this for the right job.

• I don’t have any holidays booked at the moment .
