Looking for first FT, paid Groom/Rider role.

I would like a something that is going is challenge me and give me a role that has no day the same. I would like to gain a stronger knowledge and ability to work with different types of horses and i am very open to this.

Experience with Horses

I have a solid foundation in horse care and stable management gained through both academic and hands-on experience. I’ve worked as a groom and stable hand in professional and riding school environments, where I’ve confidently handled a variety of horses, including competition horses. My duties have included mucking out, grooming, feeding, lunging, riding out, and preparing horses for events and lessons. I’ve also had the opportunity to assist at an eventing competition, where I supported the team in horse preparation and aftercare. Through my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Equine Management at Hartpury College, I’ve developed a strong understanding of equine welfare, behaviour, and nutrition. I’m passionate about continuing to grow my skills within the equine industry and take pride in being reliable, hardworking, and always eager to learn.

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I most enjoy the daily routine and hands-on care of horses. if find there’s something really rewarding about building trust with each horse and seeing the results of good care in their wellbeing. I particularly enjoy the variety in equine work, whether it’s grooming, feeding, riding out, or helping prepare for shows or lessons. I also thrive in busy yard environments and love being part of a team that shares a passion for horses.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to further develop my riding and schooling skills, especially with young or green horses, and gain more experience assisting at competitions to build confidence in high-pressure environments.

I bring a strong combination of practical experience, formal training, and genuine passion for the equine industry. I’m hardworking, trustworthy, and adaptable, with a proven ability to work well under pressure and take initiative. I’ve already shown dedication through my work experience, studies at Hartpury College, and volunteer work. I’m eager to learn, quick to pick up new tasks, and always put the horse’s welfare first.
