Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have been working with horses since a young age. In my work I have confidently handled all differents horses of all different ages, genders, sizes and temperaments. I have worked at a busy dressage yard, grooming at home and at shows for top level dressage. Also working at livery yards, I have handled lots of different types of horses (and their owners!), exercising through riding and lunging.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I pride myself on my turnout skills; grooming, clipping and plaiting. I am also confident working alone or with others, making sure every task is completed to a high standard. I am a calming influence, keeping a steady head in stressful situations such as injuries. I also am very organised, with experience in handling booking in events and running the diary for a busy competition yard.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy turnout out horses to a high standard and sharing my love of horses with others.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I don’t have much experience in backing youngsters so I would love to improve and develop these skills.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am a highly dependable, professional and positive individual who would not only bring high horse handling skills to any job but also an intellectual, efficient mindset that would be an asset to any team.
