Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have been riding and competing in Dressage for as long as I can remember. I have trained my Warmblood since I was 12yo and he was a 3yo, together we trained up to Prix St George level and competed up to Medium level.
I have also competed in Pony Dressage, on my pony who I broke in as a 3yo and trained up to Medium level.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
Good at working alone and with others, very experienced with turning out for shows, plaiting, etc. Very experienced with riding and lunging, including young horses.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy developing a partnership with the horses, earning their trust through patience and kindness. I find it extremely rewarding to build a relationship with them and to be able to communicate with them without being able to talk the same language <3
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would love to gain more experience in a professional stable overseas!
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am extremely passionate and hard-working, I definitely do not mind the ‘dirty work’, I am always looking to improve and learn from others. I treat every horse as if they were my own, with the highest level of care and attention to detail, whether that be preparing them for a competition to a high standard, or paying close attention to their health, looking out for signs of colic, injuries, etc.
