Future Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

I would like to pursue a future career that I enjoy and have a passion for. In my next job, I’d like continue to improve my horsemanship and gain more experience in both training and daily horse care. I’m especially interested in learning more from experienced professionals about handling different types of horses and understanding their individual needs. I also hope to contribute positively to a team and help maintain a well run, healthy environment for ourselves as well as the horses.

• Do you need accommodation?

No, I want to live out, no live in positions.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

No.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

Our family horse that I attend to every other Monday in the evenings currently or any other days that is required.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

Not as of yet.

Experience with Horses

I’ve had horses my whole life thanks to my mum, I’ve grown up around them since I was little and have always felt comfortable and confident with them. Growing up I’ve learned how to ride (schooling and hacking), tack up, cleaning tack, taking rugs on/off, turning in/out, handling, grooming, hay, water, feeds etc. The only thing I don’t have experience in is clipping.

Key Skills

I enjoy working alone as well as with others. I am caring, happy and empathetic individual to all animals and people, I always show compassion and patience. I have worked as a clean before so believe I have a strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organisation which is essential when keeping a yard tidy. I’ve been in customer care roles so I have good social skills and communication. I have also worked in childcare so would easily be able to assist with young children on the yard.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

The peace it brings and the fulfilment, it’s a passion and a lifestyle. I enjoy being outdoors, I enjoy nature and I love animals especially horses.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I’d like to progress more by learning anything possible to benefit myself, my career and my environment.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

Employers should consider me because I combine strong communication skills with a proven ability to show care, compassion and reliability. I’m confident I can bring the same level of dedication, loyalty and results to a team as I have any where else I’ve worked. I’m highly adaptable and love to progress and learn with a can do attitude.
