Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
Looking for a job with horses again after having a year off travelling around Australia. My CV states my experience and what I have done in the past.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I’m good at working in a team and on my own. I haven’t clipped in a few years or plaited but with practice would pick it up quick again. Because I enjoy working with horses I am a quick learner and like to keep everything tidy and clean. I have ridden youngsters all the way through to competition ponies and horses. I haven’t ridden properly in around a year but again would be fine as soon as I’m on again.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? I really enjoy being around them they make me really happy and I find it really rewarding tending to their needs. I like how fit and healthy they keep me too.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve? I would like to improve my riding and gain more experience if that is on a dressage yard or a show groom.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? I am a hard working and honest person, I really enjoy working with horses and any type of animal.
