Future Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
All the horse work I’ve done is volunteer work I have never been paid for the work I’ve done but I have still done a lot of it. I cannot say when I did each job as I don’t remember the exact dates of each. But since none was paid work I’d like to develop my skills further in a more professional equestrian environment. I’m looking to progress in the equestrian industry as much as I can.
• Do you need accommodation?
Depends on location and if necessary will look into it

Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have worked in many yards and one on one with horse owners. I’ve worked with dressage horses, show jumpers, and eventing horses, as well as riding school ponies. I’ve done all sorts of mucking out, daily yard duties, all aspects of grooming, and preparing horses for competitions. I am confident with horses and keen to continue learning where I can improve or develop.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am confident with most aspects of horse care and exercise. I can lunge, hack, general ground work etc. I can do all aspects of mucking out to a good standard. I can groom to most standards as I have done for preparing for competitions in the past. I have excellent attention to details, I am organised and hard working, I’m good in a team or working alone, with a strong work ethic, reliability, and adaptability.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy being part of the horses daily routine and seeing results of consistent, attentive care. I enjoy building trust with the horses cause every horse has their own personality. I enjoy the routine of yard work and being outdoors and working with other people that share the same passion and love for horses as I do. I love learning from the horses every day whether it’s improving my handling, reading their behavior better or developing new grooming skills, horses constantly teach you something. All in all being around and working with horses is a constant motivation to work hard every day.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Handling younger horses, stallions, and brood mares.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
Employers should consider me because I am consistently reliable, hardworking, and take pride in doing the work properly. Horses rely on routine and high standards of care and I am someone who shows up on time and takes pride in attention to detail and keeping things running smoothly.
