Future Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

• Do you need accommodation?

-Yes.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

-I do not currently have any pets, but I would potentially get a small dog if I was in a place that would allow it if I were there for years to come.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

-No.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

-No.

Experience with Horses

Many years backing and producing warmbloods and retraining thoroughbreds for a second career in sport (mostly show jumping). Quite a lot of experience helping vets and diagnosing when there are issues. Very good at picking up issues ie veterinary, farrier, dentistry or sickness. Have developed a talent for picking up even a slight lameness (both on and off a horse). Very good at rehabbing and fixing horses in general or under saddle. Loads of time in the ring competing green horses, giving them the ringcraft they will need for their careers. Have recently helped working for the same stud twice accumulating two years backing and producing horses for them for auction, bringing them on from backing to 1.10m within the year. The stud has over 700 horses and there were over 60 in this years auction so you see a lot of everything and learning how to deal with it.

Exceptionally kind and empathetic all round whether it’s working with on the ground or riding or fixing problems ie under saddle, or boxing etc.

Key Skills

Working alone. Working with others. clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows and professional pictures and videos for auctions. Handling, riding and competing stallions. Handling, riding and competing young horses. Managing a team of riders and ground staff. Good eye for picking out a talented diamond in the rough horse. Running a stable yard. Managing a farm. Knowing what bit to put in horses for best results. Can drive a horsebox. Very good at laying solid foundations before backing and building on those in the early riding stages.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

-How rewarding it to see how they progress.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

-I would like to not be so hard on myself while chasing perfection. I’m learning to be better at balance so that it can still drive me to be better at my craft.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

-There is no one else out there who is more loyal and hard working to a company than me. I will pour my heart and soul into everything I do to improve and expand the business for the better of the horse and owners.
