I have over 10 years’ experience working with and handling horses. I am confident with all day-to-day yard duties, including mucking out, grooming, tacking up, turnout, and general horse care. I am experienced in plaiting and clipping to a high standard and have competed in RIHS qualifiers this year. I am comfortable working with a variety of horses and take pride in maintaining high standards of care and presentation.

  • Confident plaiting and clipping

  • Mucking out and full yard duties

  • Show preparation and turnout

  • Working independently and as part of a team

  • Reliable, hardworking, and physically fit

  • Calm and confident handling of horses

  • Strong attention to detail and yard standards

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I most enjoy the hands-on nature of the work, building trust with horses, and being part of their daily care and routine. I find working outdoors and being physically active very rewarding.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I am always keen to expand my knowledge and skills, particularly by learning new methods, working with different types of horses, and gaining further experience in a professional yard environment.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I bring a strong work ethic, over 10 years of practical horse experience, and a genuine passion for the industry. I am reliable, motivated, and eager to learn, with high standards and a positive attitude. I take pride in my work and am committed to contributing positively to any yard I join.
