Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have worked with a wide range of horses from hunters to dressage horses. I spent 10 years working on a stud so have experience foaling and handling stallions. I have ridden many types and been involved in the backing process of many. I have competition experience having previously trained and competed my mare up to medium dressage and my current horse.. an ex racehorse.. to elementary.

I am competent in clipping, plaiting, and all yard duties and taking sole charge.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am a good team player and can work with others but also capable of taking sole charge and dealing with clients, suppliers, vets and farriers

I am good under pressure and can stay calm in all situations

I am good at clipping, plaiting, handling all types of horses including stallions and foals

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I love how rewarding working with horses can be. Seeing clients and their horses succeed in whichever discipline they participate in.  Also bringing new lives in to the world,

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I would love the opportunity to learn more about the world of breeding and also improve my riding and understanding of training.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
