Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
is i’ve been around horses for 10 years, volunteered at a rehab/retraining yard for 3 ish years and gained loads of experience from backing horses, rescue horses, ex race horses straight off the track to competition horses that were on sales livery. I did the groundwork and riding side of this training. I have also been to local competitions as a non rider/ groom and as a rider. Currently I am doing a level 2 groom apprenticeship with Haddon Training which I am due to finish in the next few weeks and looking for my next step in this industry. If there is anything else you would like to know about me let me know, thank you
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am confident working alone and getting set jobs done and enjoy working in a team
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
They are easier to work with than people! Horses have always been my hobby so it has been great to combine it with work
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to expand my knowledge and gain qualifications where possible
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am keen to learn and improve and am happy to adapt to individual yard routines and way of working
