I am a highly experienced equestrian professional with over 22 years of riding experience across multiple disciplines, with a strong background in racehorses and young horse production. I turned professional at the age of 17 to pursue a career riding racehorses and spent several years working for one of the top trainers in the UK, gaining invaluable experience in a high-pressure, elite racing environment.

I am most confident riding racehorses and low-level dressage horses, but I am also competent and comfortable with general riding and jumping. During a short break from racing, I transitioned into dressage, competing at national level on two occasions and achieving a team 4th place at low level. This broadened my skill set and strengthened my flatwork, balance, and overall horsemanship.

I have extensive experience handling and riding young horses, including riding yearlings every year and being involved in the breaking and riding-on process. I am a confident, sympathetic rider with a calm and consistent approach, adapting easily to different types of horses and environments.

I have travelled horses confidently both alone and in company, including international travel, and I am highly capable of working independently while maintaining excellent standards of horse care and professionalism. I am now seeking opportunities to work internationally, particularly in Asia or the United States, where I can continue to develop my career and contribute my experience, work ethic, and dedication to a professional equestrian operation

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

My main experience is with racehorses and where i feel most confident, i used to be a full time rider for Andrew Balding here in the uk, i have travelled horses abroad for him. Last year i went freelance after an injury set me back and i mostly do it on a Saturday, but I’m looking to gain international experience now. i am confident handling young horses and riding young horses. i can also school do a good level and jump confidently.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I take real pride in turning out my horses to a high standard, for example plaiting and beautiful quarter marks. I believe i am particularly good at riding the “quirky” fillies. My boss always used to have me ride those types of horses, being a quiet rider, but also a strong rider. I am confident working alone or as a team, although i do prefer lone working.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The connection, job satisfaction, Opportunity, leadership.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I believe my experience makes me a unique candidate.
